Founded in 1963, Lamborghini builds luxury sports cars. The Espada was a 4-seat grand touring coupé built between 1968 and 1978, it was sold alongside the 2+2 400GT and the mid-engined Miura. 1217 Espadas were made. The 1968-70 Series I featured and featured octagonal housings for the instruments, topped by an additional binnacle for the secondary gauges. Wheels were Campagnolo alloys on knock-off hubs, of the same design seen on the Miura. The tail lights were the same units mounted on the first series Fiat 124 Sport Coupé. The 1970-72 Series II got a new dash, more conventional with round gauges and woodgrain. Outside the only change was the deletion of the grille covering the vertical glass tail panel, power was increased to 345hp The 1972-78 Series III dash was now aluminium, newly designed wheels replaced the earlier knock-off style wheels, other exterior changes included the square instead of hexagonal mesh grille and tail lights from the Alfa Romeo 2000.
