English: Gulf of Guinea (Feb. 1, 2005) - Machinist's Mate 1st Class Jonah Brixey loads a M-16 magazine with live rounds in anticipation of an upcoming live-fire training exercise aboard the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39). Brixey is a member of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 8, Detachment Two Zero, stationed at Sigonella, Sicily. Emory S. Land is a forward deployed submarine tender, home ported in La Maddalena, Italy, that provides logistical support and repairs to all Sixth Fleet surface and submarine assets.
