Blee), פרופסורית לסוציולוגיה מ[[אוניברסיטת פיטסבורג]], ישנן קבוצות גזעניות שמעודדות את הצרכנים להימנע מ"מס כשר" על ידי החרמת מוצרים כשרים.<ref name{{הערה|שם=Blee/>}} בכנס הביקורת השנתי לאירועים אנטישמיים (Annual Audit of Antisemitic Incidents) בשנת 2000 דווח על ידי ארגון [[בני ברית קנדה]] כי ארגונים גזעניים עודדו צרכנים לבקש מהממשלה החזר מס, בשל "המס היהודי", שיתבטא בתשלומי [[מס הכנסה|מס ההכנסה]] שלהם.<ref name{{הערה|שם=BBC2000/>}}
בשנת 1997 רשות המס הקנדית דיווחה על תופעה של [[עלון|עלונים]] המעודדים צרכנים לבקש ניכוי מס לתשלומי המס שלהם "מכיוון שהם תרמו לכאורה לארגונים דתיים יהודיים כאשר הם רכשו מוצרים כשרים". שרת המס הקנדית ג'יין סטיוארט ציינה כי "המסר המועבר בעלונים אלו הוא פוגעני ביותר לקהילה היהודית בפרט, ולאוכלוסייה הקנדית בכלל. "ניכוי המס" המתואר איננו אלא בדיה ואני מפצירה בכל משלמי המסים להתעלם מהמסר המופץ בעלונים אלו".<ref name{{הערה|שם=CRA/>}}
==תו הכשרות==
תו הכשרות נועד להגדיל את המכירות של המוצר, ותהליך קבלת ההכשר הוא וולונטרי. תווי הכשרות מעודדים את רכישת המוצר לא רק בקרב יהודים, אלא גם בקרב [[אסלאם|מוסלמים]], מאמיני [[הכנסייה האדוונטיסטית של היום השביעי]] וקבוצות אוכלוסייה אחרות. נתונים אף מראים שהעלייה במכירות בעקבות קבלת ההכשר, מניבה לרוב הכנסות העולות על עלות קבלת ההכשר.<ref name{{הערה|שם=bw/><ref name }}{{הערה|שם= Sullum/>}}
