השימוש בהקרנות לטיפול רפואי לא נעשה רק למחלת הגזזת אלא שימש למספר רב של מחלות שונות, כגון פצעי בגרות ובלוטות מוגדלות (תימוס ותריס), וכן לטיפול בבעיות עקרות אצל נשים, השרת שיערות קוסמטית אצל נשים ואף להתאמת מידות נעליים עבור ילדים.
