Common Hoopoe (Upupa epops) is a common sight in most of Ondia. Due to the shape of its beak, many people mistake it to be some sort of a Woodpecker, though it is not in any way relat3ed to Woodpeckers. They feed mostly on the ground, digging out insects and larva from the earth using their long beaks to probe beneath the surface.
