'''טאבארד''' הינו מעיל קצר, מעוטר מלפנים ומאחור ב[[שלט אצולה|שלט האצולה]] של שליט או ריבון, הנחשב ל[[לבוש]] טיפוסי של [[כרוז|כרוזים]]. לטאבארד מספר גיזרות - ללא שרוולים, עם ריפוד ל[[כתף|כתפיים]] או עם שרוולים קצרים. לבוש דומה שימש את ה[[אביר|אבירים]] ב[[ימי הביניים]] לכיסוי [[שריון גוף|שריונם]] - עם ובלי הדפסי שלט אצולה.

בימי קדם השם "טאבארד" שימש, כמו כן, לתיאור [[אריג]] [[צמר]] גס ומחוספס אותו לבשו בעיקר [[צמית|צמיתים]].
