During 2015-2010 Arieli served as Chair of the LGBT Association. During 2015-2016 she served as Joint Chair of the LGBT Association, together with Omri Calman..

Arieli and Calman led the struggle of the gay community in 2016. With the objective of promoting equality before the eyes of the law, she threatened to cancel the gay parade that takes place in Tel Aviv in June. As a result of this she led negotiations with the Ministry of Finance to increase the budgets for community organizations which received record budgeting of NIS 11 million.

In July 2017, in protest against discrimination of same sex couples in the adoption process she led a protest and demonstration opposite the Tel Aviv Government Complex with tens of thousands of participants. One year later, in July 2018, she led the protest for equality of the LGBT community. The strike took place nationwide alongside demonstrations throughout Israel in tens of protest points against inequality before the law and the lack of advancement of equal parental rights for same sex couples. In the ultimate event of the LGBT struggle a protest rally was held in Rabin Square with the participation of over 100,000 people.

From an idealistic viewpoint that the feminist struggle incorporates the struggle for equal rights for the LGBT community, in December 2018 Arieli was one of the initiators of the largest historical women’s protest in Israel. She led the struggle for collaboration between Palestinian and Jewish women, the protest against murder of women and holding back a budget that was promised for a national emergency program for prevention of violence against women.
