With over 5,000 students, six engineering tracks research centers, tailored programs and joint ventures with industry, SCE combine academic excellence with a unique spirit.

History and Vision The Sami Shamoon College of Engineering starts operating in 1995, with the approval of the Higher Education Council, the largest college of engineering college in Israel. The college runs two campuses in Beer Sheva and in Ashdod, and grants an undergraduate degree in engineering. The decision to establish SCE in Israel's south was driven by the belief that all people deserve to benefit from academic excellence, and long term opportunities. SCE is a key central component in fulfilling the vision of developing the south.

Academic Departments SCE offers its student six engineering departments, which provide both theoretical as well as practical experience, and laboratory work. Upon successful completion of their studies students are granted a graduate diploma (B.Sc.) in one of the following subjects: - Electrical and Electronic Engineering - Chemical Engineering - Mechanical Engineering - Software engineering (the college offers Master degree M.Sc. in this department) - Industrial Engineering and Management - Civil Engineering

Research In relatively short time SCE has become one of the Israel's leading academic institutions, its innovative and advanced research contributing impressively to Israeli economy and society.
