The Sopwith T.1 Cuckoo was a biplane torpedo bomber which entered service with the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) in 1918 and served until 1923, by which time the RNAS had become part of the Royal Air Force.
Only 232 Cuckoos were built and there are no surviving examples.
This wing frame is on display in the ‘Fortunes of War’ building at the National Museum of Flight (part of National Museums Scotland).
