Tenenbom's fifth book, The Taming of the Jew, came out in English in February 2021 by Gefen publishing House, following its publication in German by Suhrkamp Verlag in February 2020, under the title Allein unter Briten, and in Hebrew by Sela Meir publishers. In The Taming of the Jew Tenenbom chronicles the rise of anti-Semitism in the UK, and the unwillingness of the local Jewish community, caused by fear, to deal with the issue. David Herman, reviewing the book for the British The Article, writes: “This is a frightening book and deserves to be read.” David Goldman, in his review for the American Algemeiner, writes: “Tenenbom brings a deep religious sensibility to what at first seems like journalistic street theater. … The result is quizzical and tragic at the same time, the sort of comedy sketches that Samuel Beckett might have written if he were Jewish rather than Irish.” Speaking of Tenenbom, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said: “There is one journalist that I think is in the same level as Albert Londres, which I admire, and he is Tuvia Tenenbom,” as told to Benny Ziffer, editor of Haaretz’ Literature and Culture.
