קארן ג'וי פאולר (נולדה ב־7 בפברואר 1950) היא סופרת מדע בדיוני ופנטזיה אמריקאית. עבודתה מתמקדת בעיקר במאה ה-19 ובניכור. ידועה בעיקר בעקבות הסרט מועדון הקריאה של ג'יין אוסטן שיצא על בסיס ספרה באותו השם.

קארן ג'וי פאולר נולדה בבלומינגטון (אינדיאנה) ומשם עברה עם משפחתה לפאלו אלטו שבקליפורניה. סיימה תואר במדע המדינה באוניברסיטת קליפורניה בברקלי. לאחר שלמדה כתיבה יוצרת באוניברסיטת קליפורניה בדייוויס, החלה לכתוב סיפורי מדע בדיוני קצרים.
זכתה בפרס נבולה ב-2004 על סיפורה "What I Didn't See" וב-2008 על סיפורה "Always".
