| תיאור | Two U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A Tomcat of Fighter Squadron VF-24 "Fighting Renegades" in flight. VF-24 made its last Vought F-8 Crusader cruise aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hancock (CV-19) in 1975. Upon return to San Diego, California (USA), the squadron transitioned to the F-14 and received the first aircraft on 9 December 1975. VF-24 was then assigned to Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the USS Constellation (CV-64), in 1977. |
