באופן די מפתיע, מסתבר שלמרות הזמן הרב שעבר מאז צולמה, לא ניתן להגדיר את התמונה כחופשית. זהו דיון מדיון המחיקה של התמונה מוויקישיתוף, לאחר שהועלתה לשם, תוך מחשבה שהיא חופשית:

The copyright was retained by Beaton, as is typical for royal photographs and portraits. On his death, he bequeathed his rights to his secretary, and she in turn left them to the V&A Museum in London. The V&A retains the copyright.[1][2] DrKay (שיחה) 14:24, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
