בערך נכתב שרב"ך היה חתנו של רבי משה זכות. אבל בהמשך הערך נכתב כי היה נשוי לנחמה בתו של רבי משה כהן-רפא. הגירסה השניה נראית עיקר כי בספרי התולדה השונים אין מקור לקשר משפחה בין רמ"ז לרב"ך. וגם בדברי ההספד שנשא רב"ך על רמ"ז (גבול בנימין ח"ב דרוש מח) אינו מזכיר כלל כי הנפטר הוא חותנו. ―אנונימי לא חתם

כתוב כאן כי ר' בנימין הכהן נפטר ביום י"ז בשבט תפ"ז. אבל ביום כ"ו בטבת ת"ץ שלח רמח"ל איגרת לר' בנימן הכהן. ראו איגרות רמח"ל ובני דורו, מהדורת ש' גינצבורג, תל אביב תרצ"ז, איגרת כה, עמ' נו. לכן התאריך הנקוב כאן אינו נכון כלל. בתולדות גדולי איטליה אין תאריך פטירה של ר' בנימין הכהן. יוסף אביב"י
